In a career spanning forty years, bassist Claude Preece has explored almost every style of music. He has worked with such notable jazz artists as Dave Brubeck and Skitch Henderson, and classically concertized with such celebrated composers, conductors, and artists as Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, John Cage, Michael Tilson Thomas, Virgil Thompson, and Broadway and screen star, Ethel Merman.

Claude has also appeared in many an orchestra pit for both local theater groups and professional companies in productions ranging from "My Fair Lady" to "The American Dance Machine.".
